Best Practice Guide - Recruitment and Integration of Women on Board
The Diversity Project Group of WISTA Germany e.V. has developed a Best Practice Guide for the “Recruitment and Integration of Women on Board” in cooperation with Frauen zur See e.V. Through the cooperation, we have been able to incorporate the perspective of people on the seaside and landside into the guide. The aim is to attract more women to seafaring and to retain them in the long term. This guide addresses shipping companies and ship & crew managers.
Seafarers Helpline 24/7
The “Seafarers Helpline 24/7″ flyer, created by the Diversity project group of WISTA Germany e.V. in cooperation with Verband Frauen zur See e.V., provides a concise overview of international emergency hotlines and counseling centers for seafarers – available around the clock, free of charge, and confidential. The organizations listed offer emotional, psychological, and practical support in various languages. A special note for women on board: there are dedicated contact points for those experiencing sexual harassment, discrimination, or violence. This flyer is intended for all seafarers worldwide.
